Translation // transfiguration.
A cylinder of light in a pure prism. The analysis of the essential volumetry of the palace of Charles V projects a contemporary abstraction, a current reading of the right angle, of the classical orders and of the sustainable materiality.
The pavilion appears clean in the distance, translucent, white. We approach it and it reveals the network of wood that supports it. Finally, we reach the Roman impluvium and the light floods the pavilion and it guides our gaze to the sky.
Written in the eastern entrance of the palace: IMP. CAES. KAROLO V. This pavilion claims the author of that cylinder of light: IMP. CAES. MACHUCA.
